Hi ! So I was diagnose with alopecia areata 5 months ago..I found 3 bald spots connected together in my scalp. The dr said it will grow back..there’s tiny lil hairs..and I haven’t take put any ointment..before I was diagnosed I stop eating meat , chicken, eggs, just tofu n veggies.n I didn’t take any vitamins .it lasted a month because well I found the bold spots..I haven’t see a dermatologist yet..just the “normal” dr..(the one who treats everything)..and I used to have cold sores every single yr now is gone..my question is if there’s any relation with alopecia areata and my extreme diet..???

Alopecia Areata doesn’t have anything to do with your diet. I went to a normal doctor when my hair was falling and he said the same thing unfortunately it kept on falling so we decided to go to a dermatologist.It was like 2 or 3 months I was completely bald. So I got a treatment. She gave me zinc pills and Minoxidil. And she gave me a cream I forgot it’s name:) Anyways that was one year ago and now my hair is on my shoulders! I mean they grew back all you need is treatment, dermatologist but most importantly have confidence and never ever think that they won’t grow back again:)

im 15 and lately ive been loosing my hair a lot more than usual. Sure, dead hair falls out, but my hair has become noticably thinner. Im so stressed. I use all natural shampoo and conditioner, i comb my hair i eat healthy… idk what the reason is or what i can do to grow my hair back and make it healthier.

Who else here has alopecia?
I have alopecia universalis.
It does cause quite a bit of self esteem issues.
I have gotten over most of it but still find myself in a “dark place” because I do not have any hair.
I am a 20 year old man who could probably be mistaken for a 11 year old boy.
To be honest if I could at least have my eyebrows I would be slightly more comfortable with it, then I could at least say I shave everything.
How do you deal with it?
What have you done to try and improve your quality of life, to keep from going to a dark place just because of how you look.
People have told me “why dont you just get a wig” like it is going to fix all my problems. First of all, its not my hair so I dont want it.
People also tell me I am not bad looking, I dont usually agree with them.
By the way, this is what I look like. One of my favorite pictures of me.

Question by : Hair loss and no hair growth under arms and on the leggs after giving birth, is this normal?
My wife hasn’t shaved under her arms for two weeks or so, no hair is growing back on her leggs either. She gave birth about 8 weeks ago. Is this normal?

it can be. women respond different ways giving birth and after birth. the hormones are going to be out of whack for at least 6 mo. is she breast feeding? it could be that her natural hormones in the milk are going to the baby, thus creating less testosterone for her to produce hair on her body. I would say, that is a blessing, because who wants to shave anyway, especially with a newborn.

I had alopecia as a child. (This is a disease in which loss of hair from different parts of your body, especially the scalp) that Deaf just disappear after a while, but now I have 14 and am very scared that he’s back. Many of my hair falls out and a few bald spots are remarkable. I was able to hide with hair that is because I have long hair épais.Je m ‘afraid to go to the doctor and have him tell me I have alopecia nouveau.Que I do? Go to MD … you are not gaining anything by not going and you might be able to have some help. Also check with your office or google some support groups that can rejoindre.Avez’ve seen the episode of Shear Genius on Bravo the other day that people who have had alopecia about it? It was really cool to see how they dealt with it.

been suffering Seborrhea for a for nearly a year now and have been unsuccessful in controlling it, what is good to control it and will the hair ive lost due to it grow back on its own once controlled or shall i have to use something else to regrow lost hair thanks

if its primary seborrhea then when its clear your hair will grow back… if its secondary seborrhea then you will need to find the underlying cause of it and cure that before it begins to heal its self… see the difference? check to see if there is a trichologist in your area… they can really help
