Having you hair slowly fall out is a F_UKING NIGHTMARE, let me tell you! My situation is that I am slowly getting a “hairless” part on back of my head, (which is the classic hairloss i think?)most of the hairloss on back of head, so the bald spot is slowly but surely forming. Can science do anything about this?? I tried rogaine once for about 2 weeks but it made my face get all puffy so i quit using it)

Due to my misuse of proscar for hairloss I am now severely impotent and my urologist has told me I can have an implant in two years should I wish.
I’m 33 years old and would like to have kids. Would a woman know or care about it? I might just say I was in a traffic accident.

My friend had the same problem as randomly became a vegetarian and stopped eating meat. The meat is rich in protein. You need protein for your hair to grow, and to prevent hair loss. just make sure to eat plenty of protein, especially meat.

Last semester, I was really stressed out because it was my first year of college. And after that trip through hell, I’ve decided never to get stressed out again in the academic arena.

Anyway, as alluded to in the bold headline, my period is very irregular. Last year, it came once. No, I’m not joking. Yes, I know that birth control pills regulate it, but they also make you gain weight, and I’m not jumping for joy at that option.

So anyway, could an unconsistent period lead to hair loss?

No, but the combination of an irregular period and hair loss could mean a hormone imbalance. Either thyroid or perhaps your testosterone is too high. Go see your doc and get it checked out!

Someone who was legally blind, had acne scars, burn scars, had a speech impediment, had alopecia totalis (total loss of hair), a quadripeligic?(sp) I know people with all these conditions that have found that special someone.

There is no cure for Alopecia, I read up on it and the only thing that worked on my scalp was Head and Shoulders and that’s just to relieve the irritated skin. I heard that some dermatologist can give you a steroid shot in the balding area but you have to keep getting them. There is’nt anything the doctor can give you to cure it if that’s what you are looking for..

I have just been told that I have alopecia areata. I have really nice hair and it devistates me to loose it. I have been looking up some cures and wondered if anyone new any herbal cures. Also I heard of Vitacel GH7 and wanted to know if anyone knew anything about it. It is supposed to be really helpfull in regrowth.

I am female and started developing male pattern baldness at about 50. I was devistated. I hardly had any hair in front. I went to a medical doctor who treats mostly holisticly. He had me use Men’s rogaine xtra strength even though the box said not for women. He told me if I started getting facial hair (which is rare, but can happen) just switch to the lower strength or use rogaine for women. The box also says not to use it on the front portion of your scalp, but my doctor said it is ok. My hair started growing back after 2 months and after 4months it had grown back. My beautican could believe the difference. The only draw back is if you stop using it you will start to loose your hair again. It has been 3 yrs now and I still have my hair. I like the rogaine foam better than the solution because it doesn’t seem to leave a funny feel to my hair. My hair lose was due to hormone changes. Some people lose theirs due to stress. My insurance covered me seeing this doctor because he is a M.D. I live in Chicago so it was easy to find a holistic M.D. Is there a large metropolitan city near you? I wish you the best. I’ll be praying for you.
