Has Anyone Out There Who Has Alopecia Ever Successfully Been Able To Grow Hair Again?
I have accepted my condition, I was just wondering because it’s a question I have never seen answered.

There is no “cure” for alopecia. However, in some cases, medications like minoxidil have been shown to help hair regrow after 3 months of use. You would need to continually use the medication, once you stop, hair will probably fall out again and not regrow. This site has great info

Alopecia is an inherited disorder that is carried in your genes. Without gene splicing, and recombitant DNA there is no way of taking this gene out of every cell in your body. THAT is what it would take to no longer have Alopecia, and to grow body hair again. . . Sorry!

there are many different type of alopecia, and if your hair will ever grow back very much depends on the type you have. i used to know a girl who was totally bald with alopecia and when i met her again a couple of years later she had the most amazing head of beautiful auburn hair, so there is definitely hope out there for some people. for the moment, make the best of it, good luck!

My sister took a bad fall once whick gave her a concussion and fever, and shortly after she was told she had alopecia due to that. Her hair grows fine now, a number of years later, although at first her hair fell out in clumps. . . . I suppose it depends on the cause and type of alopecia you have.
